Audrey 'Shani' May Harris' Obituary
Audrey May Harris, affectionately known as "Shani," a resident of Winslow, Arkansas, passed away on November 2, 2012 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born to Aubrey and Ida M. Carmon Harris on August 22, 1950 in DeQuincy, Louisiana.
She was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Ozarks Shrine in Winslow, Arkansas and was a dedicated mother and grandmother.
She was a registered nurse at Willow Creek Women's Hospital and was a part of Northwest Health System for more than 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Lee Esther Harris; a son, Micah O’Mar Pinkney; and a grandson, Chandler Julian Porter.
She is survived by two sons, Melchesidech Jerome Porter and his wife Jami of Winslow, Arkansas; and Marcus Joseph Pinkney of Benton, Arkansas; three sisters, Rose May and her husband Albert of Ville Platte, Louisiana; Nora Harris of DeQuincy, Louisiana; and Eva Williams of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; three brothers, Whitney Harris and John Stewart of Woodbury, Minnesota; James Harris and his wife Linda of DeQuincy, Louisiana; and Joseph Foster and his wife Carol of Port Arthur, Texas; three grandchildren, Melchesidech Porter II, Caiden Porter, and Charles Means II.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 4, from 5 p.m. to 7p.m. at Moore’s Chapel. Rosary service will be at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Moore’s Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Ozarks Shrine in Winslow, Arkansas under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
