Barbara Jean Holt's Obituary
Barbara Jean Holt, 76, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023. She was born on April 11, 1947, in Beloit, Wisconsin, to Vern and Jane Allen. Her family moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas, when she was five. She attended Fayetteville High School. Barbara married Don Holt on September 3, 1965. They knew each other 65 years and were married 58 years. They have two children, Lee and Jasa.
Barbara’s husband was stationed in Turkey for three years. During that time, they traveled in Turkey and Greece. After returning to the states, she stayed at home until her kids grew up. Later, Barbara was a VP in the loan department of Arvest Bank for 23 years. Her interests ranged from her family, camping, gardening, birding, swimming, reading, and a multitude of crafts.
Barbara is predeceased by her parents, Vern and Jane Allen; and her infant daughter, Jeanna Holt. She is survived by her husband, Don Holt; son, Lee Anson and daughter-in-law, Kathy Holt of Farmington, Arkansas; daughter, Jasa Larice Holt of Olympia, Washington; sister, Dorothy Ball of Mountain Home, Arkansas; grandchildren, Lee and Heather; and great grandchildren, Micah and Harper. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws, and her many friends.
