Barbara Jean Mahan's Obituary
Barbara Jean Mahan, 78, of Fayetteville, died Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville.
She was born August 8, 1933 in Fayetteville, the daughter of Roy Lee and Mae Clark Phillips. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Jack Mahan April 16, 2010 and a sister, Doris Wages.
She worked at McIlroy Bank as a teller for more than 20 years and was member of Wiggins Memorial United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
She is survived by two daughters, Lesa Tucker and her husband Dwight of Fayetteville and Lori Blew and her husband Brad of Farmington; two sons, William Jack Mahan, Jr. of New York City and Kirk Mahan and his wife Judy of Fayetteville; a sister, Louise Phillips of Goshen; two brothers, Deanie Phillips of West Fork and Leslie Phillips of Vallejo, CA; five grandchildren, Lance Tucker and Christy Cawood, Mitchell Mahan and Taylor and Bo Blew; two great-grandchildren, Bailey Ballard and McKayla Cawood.
Visitation will be held 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 22 at Moore’s Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 23 at Wiggins Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary B. Lunsford officiating.
Burial will be in Fayetteville National Cemetery, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
