Barbara L. Bergquist's Obituary
Barbara L. Bergquist, 84, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2007 in Fayetteville. She was born December 27, 1922 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Warren and Beula (Hoag) Mansfield. Barbara grew up in California, and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1946 with a BA degree in Geography. She married Lyle Eugene Bergquist in 1947, and they lived in southern California, Lakewood Colorado, and Tucson Arizona. Barbara earned her MA degree in Regional Planning and worked as an Information Specialist in city and county planning. They moved to Fayetteville in 1996, living at Butterfield Trail Village.
She is survived by her husband Lyle E. Bergquist of Fayetteville Arkansas; one son, Daryl J. Bergquist and his spouse Sara E. Rose, of Royal Alabama; one daughter, Janet B. Dixon and her spouse John C. Dixon, of Fayetteville; and two grandchildren, Colin W. Dixon and Bronwyn C. Dixon.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3rd at 10am at Butterfield Trail Village Convocation Room, with Rev. Kerry Mueller, Unitarian Universalist, officiating.
