Love you. Always.
We are so sorry to learn of the loss of your Barbara. This has been a long and difficult struggle, and you and your family have been such a great support to her through the years. We always enjoyed our times with Barbara and we are grateful to have known her. our thoughts and prayers are with you, Jonathan and Sarah during this most difficult time. With our deepest sympthy and love,
Dearest Pete, Sarah, and Jonathan,
Words cannot express the sadness I feel at the passing of my dear friend. It just doesn't seem real. Bootie was the best friend anyone could ask for.
She had a knack for lifting everyone's spirits. Her sparkle and wit would light up any room she was in. She was always good for a laugh, seeing the humor in the most ordinary things. I always told her she should be a stand up comic. She even kept cheering me up when she was the one who was sick. Her strength was amazing.
I hope you will be comforted by the wonderful memories you have of her. I know I will be. Take care of each other the way she took care of you.
I will keep you all close in my thoughts and prayers.
Love you,
Tina
I want to express my deepest condolences to Barbara's family and friends upon her passing. We were friends during our years at East Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, NC and her brother, Richard, and I graduated together in the class of '72. Barbara, fondly known to us at East as "Bootie," was always filled with joy, energy, and laughter. One of my greatest memories is performing together with her "Oklahoma!"
With sympathy,
Susan Runge Bost
Pete,
So sorry for your loss, my prayers are with you and your family..

Though I never met Barbara Leer, I know her daughter, Sarah. Barbara must have been a special woman to raise such a giving, thoughtful, and joyous daughter. Sarah's service to her friends and community will continue to make Barbara's life powerful beyond words. My thoughts are with Barbara's family and friends, and especially with her lovely daughter, Sarah.

Pete, Sarah and Jonathan:
Barbara was such a fun, witty and loving woman. I cannot remember a time when she was not laughing or making me laugh. She was such a joy! I send you prayers and hugs for comfort and peace. All my love, Debbie
A sympathy card has been sent to the family of Barbara Leer c/o Nelson-Berna Funeral Home & Crematory funeral home.
For Pete, Jonathan and my dear Sarah - I was saddened
to hear of Barbara's passing.
I will always remember her
as such a vibrant star, full
of grace and personality.
She always lit up whatever room she was in, commanding
our attention. There was always an anecdote to make us
chuckle, a smile to warm our hearts. Few could tell a story with such enthusiasm
and humourous detail. Choir
rehearsal was always more fun
with Barbara!!! Please know
that my prayers are with all
of you and your family. I regret that my work schedule
probably interfere with my attendindg Barbara's memorial service - I would love to sing with the choir in tribute to her amazing life, and visit with all
three of you. God bless your
family. Hugs to all of you.
