Barbara Lou Pressly-Burckart's Obituary
Barbara Lou Pressly-Burckart was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She saw Jesus and he took her breath away on Thursday, May 26th, 2022, and she is finally home. She left this world peacefully at age 85.
Barbara was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to Mable (Curry) and Frances Pressly on February 23rd, 1937. After high school, Barbara went to work for the airlines and model when she met her husband, John C. Burckart. Together, they had three children: Bob, Bill, and Jennifer.
Barbara is survived by her immediate family: Bob Burckart and his wife Susan of Bentonville, Bill Burckart and his wife Shannon of Bentonville, and Jennifer Estes and her husband Matt of Little Rock.
Barbara was a “fashionista” and loved spending time with her family, friends, colleagues, animals of all kinds, farming, shopping, vacationing in Mexico, hanging out at the lake, and painting. Barbara was a beautiful soul, both inside and out. Her light shown so bright in this world that even after she is gone, that light remains.
Visitation is scheduled for Barbara at 12 pm on Wednesday, June 1st, 2022, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, 2898 West Walnut Street, Rogers, Arkansas, followed by a graveside family service at Bentonville Cemetery, 400 Southwest F Street, Bentonville, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the local Humane Society in your area or the Alzheimer’s charity of your choice.
