Bearl 'Bud' M Glass' Obituary
Bearl Madison Glass, of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 86 years old. Bud was born in Nevada county Arkansas on February 26, 1938, to Harl Lee and Maude White Glass. His grandparents Jeff and Alice White and Jim and Anna Glass. He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, his wife Iris Clark Glass and her parents Harry and Henritta Clark. As well as his only sister Phena Glass Hicks, her husband Brother Raymond Hicks, one nephew Gary Lee Hicks and a very special family member Lena Matthews.
Bud is survived by his son James Stephen Glass, daughter Kristi Glass, both of Fayetteville AR. One Nephew Paul Hicks, one Neice Sandra Brown, (Dicky) Sisters in law Pat Sullivan (Ronny), Molly Viles (Mike), and Kay Gourley (Jack). Bud was an uncle, a great uncle and a great-great uncle to many. He was married to Iris on Feb 25, 1961, and made their home and raised their children in El Dorado, Ar. Bud was saved and baptized as young boy by Morris Missionary Baptist Church in Caney, Ar, and is a current member of Cross Church of Springdale. Bud graduated in 1956 from Cale high school and was a member of the Arkansas National Guard. Bud retired after a long career as an insurance agent for American General Life and Casualty. Bud was an avid Razorback fan traveling all over to see his hogs play. Bud favorite pass times included gardening with his Farmall Tractor, listening to all music especially gospel quartet and Elvis and spending time with his three dogs, many cats and his horse Spirit.
Visitation is planned for Thursday July 18, 2024 5-7 PM at Moore’s Chapel. Services will be Friday July 19, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Farmington Cemetery with Military Honors.
A memorial is planned at a later date at Morris Missionary Baptist Church in the Caney Community.
