Beatrice W. Allen's Obituary
Beatrice W. Allen, 88 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 in Springdale, AR. She was born April 27, 1922 in Maud, MO to Robert Pollard Woods and Beryl Beatrice (Hill) Woods. Beatrice married Roy B. Allen of Rothville, Missouri on June 13, 1943.
She was a homemaker, elementary teacher, a member of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Junior Civic League and P.E.O.
She is survived by two sons; Robert W. Allen and wife Judy Edwards Allen of Fayetteville, AR, Charles W. Allen of Indianapolis, IN, three sisters; Ferne Boucher of Kingsburg, CA, Roberta Jarboe of Holiday, MO, Jane Shoemaker of San Luis Obispo, CA, five grandchildren; Daniel E. Allen, Michael B. Allen and wife, Erin Leitner Allen, Jared L. Allen and wife Danielle Wright Allen, Christopher W. Allen, Katherine B. Allen, and one great granddaughter; Claire M. Allen.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 24, 2011 in the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Dr. Douglas Falknor officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville or to the Roy B. Allen Educational Administration Scholarship at the University of Arkansas.
