Benjamin Ralph Bryant's Obituary
Benjamin Ralph Bryant, 96 years, died at his home in Fayetteville, Arkansas on February 20, 2007. Born to Carolyn Elizabeth Fessler Bryant and Benjamin Horatio Bryant on August 13, 1910 in Coffeen, Illinois. He was a graduate of Alton High School and Shurtleff College in Alton, Illinois. He moved his family to Galveston, Texas in 1949, relocating to Tallahassee, Florida, following retirement in 1978. In 2000 he moved with his daughter to Fayetteville, Arkansas.
A devoted husband and loving father; he was a kind man who cared very deeply for family and friends.
Ralph ?Razz? served in the US Navy aboard the LST 820 in the Pacific in WWII. He was a Master Mason and a proud 75 year member of Franklin Lodge #25 in Alton, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Margaret Ardella Wilhoit: sisters, infant Faye Elizabeth Bryant, Frieda Agusta Voss, Ruby Gladys Foote, Ida Alma Wiseman and Wanda Virginia Wilhoit, and brothers; Raymond Luther and Charles Edward Bryant.
Survivors include his daughter; Connie Bryant, of the home, brothers; Edgar Lewis Bryant of Woodburn, Oregon, William Marvin Bryant of Twain Harte, California and James Eugene Bryant of Covington, Louisiana; friend and co-caregiver, Evelyn Bembry of the home and many nieces and nephews including Sharon Bullock of Deer Park, Texas, Judy Mathews of Plano, Texas and Dr. Richard Hunter of Marion, Illinois.
