Even though we lost track of each other over the years, my memories of Aunt Berneice and Uncle Howard and of all of my cousins, are strong and very happy memories. Please know I am thinking of each and everyone of you.

We just found out that your mother had passed away. We didn't know she had moved to Garden City. We had visited her several times in Abliene. We will miss her our thoughts and prayers are with you and you sisters and brother. love Barbara and Mac
Deb, Glenda, Cindy, and Marc, we are so sorry for your loss. Even though we haven't stayed in touch with each other I have often thought about you all. I'll never forget Berneice's distinctive laughter and the sparkle that glinted from her eyes when she laughed so hard she cried. It's what I remember most about her. Keep those happy memories alive in your hearts.
We loved your mother very much and your entire family. Time spent at your home was always a treat. I can still hear your mother laugh, hear her voice, and just wish I could talk to her again. She had a generous heart and a loving spirit.
I know you wanted money to go to a memorial, but I couldn't stand the thought of her without flowers because she loved beautiful things. She always made your home attractive and she made sure it felt like 'home'.
We will miss her very much even though we haven't seen her for years. We tried to find her because we cared for her as we have tried to find all of you. You are all in our hearts.

Berniece (she seldom corrected me on my spelling) Berneice, was a wonderful resident, neighbor and friend here at Mira Vista. We hated to see her move yet understood her feelings of necessity. Everyone who knew her can relate to the wonderful laugh she had and how she could go on & on about everything and nothing at the same time. She would really brighten my day!!! I have the utmost confidence she will brighten days again in the future without any ailments to slow her down when she hears Christ's voice and returns in the resurrection. (John 5:28 & 29, Isaiah 33:24) Until then, now is the time we grieve with you and ask you please accept our condolences for your temporary loss. (Ecc 3:4)
I used to enjoy going across the hall at our old apartment in Abilene and talking to Berneice. She was a great person to visit with. We will miss her.

It was always a lot of fun to visit Aunt Berneice and Uncle Howard and to watch the Thanksgiving Day parade at their house when my 7 siblings and I were youngsters.
