Bernice L. Wood
Bernice L. Wood, 82 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 in Fayetteville. She was born January 10, 1929 in Madison County, Arkansas to James Thomas Barker and Effie Mae (Jordan) Barker.
She was a homemaker, a loving grandmother, a Sunday School teacher and member of Round Mountain Community Church.
She is survived by her husband, James E. Wood, two sons: Ronnie Wood and wife Brenda and Jimmie Wood and wife Kristi, two daughters: Wanda Parker and husband Sonny and Marcia Dunn and husband Billy all of Fayetteville; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; a brother Pete Barker of Bowling Green, MO and a sister Hazel Murphy of Fayetteville.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 22 at Moore’s Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 23 at Round Mountain Community Church with Reverend Tim Beers officiating. Burial will follow at Round Mountain Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Round Mountain Community Church Heritage Pavilion.
