I met Bessie only once at her daughter in laws and son's home charolette and tom. She was a very sweet person and my sympathy is with her family at this time of sorrow.

i enjoyed bessie's visits to get her hair done. we had fun visting. i wish i had known her longer. god bless you! Diny
I knew Bessie mostly when I was younger, because I stayed with my Great-Grandmother, her mother, and my Grandmother, her sister, Minnie Burkitt, as often as I could in Prairie Grove. My mother is Betty Burkitt-Ehrig. She has been gone for a couple of years now, but I know she thought the world of Bessie too. I wish I could turn back the hands of time and know Bessie better, but when I see her in Heaven, we'll have a good ole' time together. She was a wonderful woman, and she will be missed by many! Walter and Kellie and family; I am sorry we have lost touch, and I am very sorry for your loss. I hope to finally meet you both in person, though. If we do, it will be because of Bessie!
Sincerely,
Connie
She was a wonderful woman. She will be greatly missed and thought of often.
Nelson and I were proud to know Bessie's mother, Mary Jane Crabtree and her brother, Gomer. I know that she has been gravely ill for the past couple of years. I know that she has gone to a much better place with no pain, no suffering. Our best wishes to Tipp Watkins, her husband, who has suffered through the past two years along with her, as well as her step-daughter, Lula DeMoss. Sincerely, Dorothea.
