Bessie Qualls, 91, of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away Friday, June 22, 2007 in Fayetteville. She was born May 13, 1916 in Snowball, Arkansas the daughter of Charlie and Neomia (Manes) Watkins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Living Faith Church of Fayetteville.She was preceded in death by her husband; Rufus Qualls, two sons; Ardith Qualls, Virgil Qualls and one granddaughter; Elizabeth Langford. She is survived by six children; Nora Lee Peters of Farmington, Arkansas, Catherine Stephens of Noel, Missouri, Lois Alderson of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Phyllis Langford of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Sharon Eyerly of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Charles Qualls of Eureka, California, Rex Qualls of Springdale, Arkansas, one brother, Walton Watkins of Missouri, one sister; Janie Scott of Little Rock, Arkansas, twenty-three grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren and twenty-one great great grandchildren and one step-sister; June Staton of Magazine, Arkansas.Funeral services will by 11:00 AM, Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Living Faith Church in Fayetteville with Dr. Buel Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fayetteville. Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Howard Carter, Billy Carter, Randy Qualls, Billy Treat, Alan Qualls and Brian Qualls. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Alderson and Matthew Langford.Visitation will be 1:00 PM till 5:00 PM, Sunday, June 24, 2007 at in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
