Bettie F. Palone, age 85, of Greenland, Arkansas, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Odessa, Texas. She was born August 28, 1929 in Raymondville, Texas, the daughter of Charles and Una Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Read Obituary

Bettie was a very sweet lady and a friend to many. I have known her for many years from living in Greenland and then in the last few years seeing and visiting with her at Walmart when she worked there. I would always make it a point to find her and we would stand and visit as long as she was wasn't too busy. To Tonya and family, my heart goes out to you in the loss of your dear mom. May God bless and comfort you.
A few years ago I met Bettie at the Wal-Mart supercenter. I was beginning to sew and was new at it and Bettie was very patient with my questions. No matter how busy she was, she wold always make the time to chat with me even if I weren't buying material, I just liked chatting with her. She told me about her cancer and what a trooper she was to beat it so many times! She had been on my mind couple of times this week and I wondered how she was doing. I think she was thinking about all of the people she met over the years and was saying bye in her quiet way. Goodbye Mrs. Bettie and you will be missed greatly!
I met her at a Thanksgiving dinner a couple years ago at the home of Robert's parents. I remember how her daughter, Tonya, sat beside her and seemed so proud of her Mom. She seemed like a sweet and gentle person. Until we meet again at another dinner in the future. A truly great Thanksgiving at the marriage supper of the Lamb of God. See you there, Mrs. Palone!!!!
