Betty Jo Sanders' Obituary
Betty Jo Farr Sanders, 79, of Fayetteville, AR, died quietly in Walnut Grove Nursing and Rehab Center on Thursday, April 24, 2014.
She was born June 24, 1934, in Houston, MS, the daughter of the late Walter Evans Farr and Ora Evelyn Foster.
She married on Jan 31, 1959, and was widowed after 45 years of marriage to Clyde F. Sanders from Bismarck, AR.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis and Karan Sanders of Fayetteville, AR, and Alen and Paula Sanders of Hot Springs, AR; four granddaughters, Katie Chambers, Whitney Cook and Sidnie Sanders of Pocatello, ID, and Amy Sanders of Hot Springs, AR; three stepgranddaughters, Jenny Hannant of Salem, OR, Melinn Mitchell of Fayetteville, AR, and Monica Stutte of San Antonio, TX; three greatgrandchildren, Creighton Chambers, Macey Chambers, and Renner Cook of Pocatello, ID; three stepgreatgrandchildren, Addison, Avery and Owen Hannant of Salem, OR; one brother, Walter Farr and his wife Sue of Memphis, TN.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Sanders; son, Clyde Sanders Jr; parents, Walter and Evelyn Farr of Houston, MS; and sister, Faye Farr Wofford of Houston, MS.
She served as a Registered Nurse at the former Ouachita Memorial Hospital in Hot Springs for 18 years and was a resident of Hot Springs for 41 years before moving to Fayetteville.
Graveside services will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 2103 Ozark Loop, Bismarck, AR, on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 12 noon, followed by a lunch.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund, in care of Carolyn Wilson, 11540 Hwy 84, Bismarck, AR, 71929.
