EULESS -- Betty Lou Martin, 76, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 30, 2008.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel with Larry Nunley officiating. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Betty was born April 2, 1932, in Waco. She was a homemaker and a member of Airport Freeway Church of Christ. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She married Odis Martin, her husband of 57 years, on Oct. 1, 1950, after he finally talked her in to a date at the Texas State Fair. Survivors: Her daughter, Pam Townsend and husband, Ron, of Fayetteville, Ark.; sons, Bruce Martin and wife, Debbie, of Whitney and Bob Martin and wife, Jenny, of West; sister, Wilda Allred of Haltom City; brother, Marshall Campbell of Fort Worth; nine exceptionally perfect grandchildren; four great-grandsons who brought additional joy the last few years; and her constant little four-legged buddy, "Ralph," who was her best friend.
