Beverly Bodenhamer's Obituary
Beverly Bodenhamer, age 87, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away June 18, 2024, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born on February 6, 1937, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, to George Delbert Gibbs and Georgia Faye (Lloyd) Gibbs. Beverly graduated from North Little Rock High School. She attended the University of Arkansas Little Rock. Beverly worked for Empire Life as an insurance underwriter, before managing Alexander-Brown Plantation. After that, she went to get her realtor’s license and worked for Rector Phillips Morse Inc. in Little Rock for 20 years. Beverly also owned an antique store and met her husband, Lee, while working at the store. She continued to sell real estate into her 70’s. Beverly was a master gardener and Razorback fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Georgia Gibbs; brother, Buck Gibbs; and sister, Georgina Gibbs Bradshaw.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Lee Bodenhamer; children, Gary and Marsha Apple of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Ann Rosso and Wayne Britt of Fayetteville, Jim and Sue Bodenhamer of Parker, Colorado, John and Nina Bodenhamer of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Bob Bodenhamer of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Ashley Apple, Shawn Apple, Andrew Apple, Justin King, Bryan King, Corey King, Erin McIntosh (Seth), Justin Ternes, Lauren Rosso (Turner Tomlinson), Elle Wood (Sam), John Michael Ternes, Hannah Riley (Ben), Gigi Golden, Brock Golden, Leah Bodenhamer (Scotty Horner), Eliza Bodenhamer, Elizabeth Bodenhamer, Lena Bodenhamer, Sarah Bodenhamer, Emily Bodenhamer, Abby Jo Bodenhamer, and Katherine Bodenhamer; and great grandchildren: Gavin Apple, Stella Apple, Addison Apple, Serenity King, Raelynn King, Skylar Riley, and Amara Bodenhamer..
Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 1190 Fayetteville, AR 72702. Arrangements are by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
