Bill Joe Bishop Jr.'s Obituary
Billy Joe Bishop, Jr., age 63, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on June 29th, 2025, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He was born on December 9th, 1961, at the Naval Base in Guam to Billy Joe Bishop, Sr., and Wanda (Ayers) Bishop.
Bill graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. He spent many years as a business owner of Stereo One, and working in sales. He was a powerhouse of determination and strength. Known for being strong-willed, dependable, and fiercely loyal. Bill was the glue that held his family together. His quick wit, big heart, and unwavering support for those he loved left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Above all, Bill had deep and abiding faith in the Lord. His relationship with God was his foundation, guiding how he lived, loved, and served those around him.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Bishop, Sr., and his wife, Shelli LaRayne Bishop.
He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Bishop of Fayetteville; his son, Grant Bishop (Caroline) of Springdale; his mother, Wanda Bishop; his brother, James Randall Bishop (Jeannine); his sister, Sheri Grove (David); and his former wife and best friend, Rosalie Gingras-Bishop, and many nieces and nephews.
His memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11th, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas. In honor of Bill’s deep love for the Arkansas Razorbacks, the family asks attendees to wear their Razorback Red to celebrate his life.
