Billie Jean McArthur's Obituary
Billie Jean McArthur, age 75, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 in Springdale. She was born October 2, 1939 in Scranton, Arkansas, the daughter of Guy William and Ruby Tennessee Bennett Goodin. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Billie was a retired employee of the A.S.C.S. and was a member of Cross Church.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ronald “Mac” McArthur; her daughters, Robin Owens of Fayetteville, Andrea Owens and Andrea’s husband Kendall both of Bella Vista; two sisters, Betty Littrell and Dorene Reed both of Fayetteville; two grandsons, Kody Owens and Hunter Owens, an extended family, and many dear friends.
Her last request was that the Razorbacks win the Texas Bowl.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2014 at Township Baptist Church in Fayetteville, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel. Visitors are asked to wear Razorback Red and to bring a Christmas ornament for the family’s memorial holiday tree, and for donations to be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 1330 W. Peachtree St., Suite 100, Atlanta, Georgia 30309, in lieu of flowers.
Burial will be private.
