Biography
Billie Ledbetter, 93, of Fayetteville, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Fayetteville.
She was born February 2, 1919 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Ralph Burke, Sr. and Marie Martin Burke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Waford Ledbetter in 1977; two brothers, Tom Burke and Ralph Burke, Jr.
She was a retired Avon sales representative. She loved to play Bingo and was a member of Baldwin Church of Christ. The family would like to give their thanks to the staff of Fayetteville City Hospital for her care.
She is survived by a sister, Polli Burke of Fayetteville; a niece, Sharon Cook and her husband Bill of Fayetteville; two nephews, Gary Burke and his wife Pat of Windsor Locks, CT and Dennis Burke and his wife Charlotte of West Monroe, LA.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 22 at Moore’s Chapel with Robert G. Dockery officiating. Interment will be in Wesley Cemetery, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
