Billy L. Ashmore's Obituary
Billy Ashmore, 82, of Bella Vista, passed away January 7, 2026, after a brief illness. He was born in Morrilton, Arkansas in 1943, the first son of Billy Fay Ashmore and Lois Marie Loyd. He earned his BS in Math from Rice University in Houston where he also ran track and later became an NCAA track and field judge. He continued his education by earning a Masters and a PhD both in Math from the University of Arkansas. He loved the scholastic environment and spent 45 years employed by UA, mostly working in Computing Services.
Billy is survived by his brother, James L. Ashmore, his sister, Susan A. Ashmore and his nephew, Evin A. Davis.
Services will be private. Arrangements are by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
