Billy Gene Geren's Obituary
Billy Gene Geren, 82 of Fayetteville died Friday, July 2, 2015. He was born June 23, 1933 in Fort Smith, Arkansas the son of Elmer Eugene Geren and Mildred Marie Maner Geren.
He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1956 and later got his masters of Public Administration from University of Denver in 1972. He was a retired pilot of the USAF, Lt. Col., with 21 years of service having served in the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Old Wire Church of Christ and the Retired Officers Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Geren in 2006.
Survivors include his son, William E. “Gene” Geren of Bentonville; daughter, Cheryl A. Dixon of Tulsa, OK; brothers, Gary Geren of Tulsa, OK, Tommy Geren of Cabot, AR; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00AM, Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Fayetteville National Cemetery.
