While I didn’t personally know Billy, I grew up knowing Marsha & Darrin. I have no doubt their character was influenced by both of their parents — Billy and Rosa.

Bill was a big man. My fondest memory of him is when Darrin and I got Darrin’s old 69 4x4 hung on some rocks in the river. The rocks were probably 8-12” under water, but, Bill took a sledgehammer and busted up the rocks so the truck was freed up. In case you don’t understand, it takes quite the strength to sledgehammer through water and still effectively break up rock. I wasn’t around Marsha any, but, my experience with Bill was that he would do anything to help his kids out. That’s the kind of daddy this world needs more of today. God bless you all family.
