This obituary was just forwarded to me as we have been doing geneology and making connections. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Bob sounds like an awesome man. I wish I could have met him. I am the daughter of John L. Gaddy Sr. (son of Sterling Price Gaddy). I wanted to send my condolences to the family along with my thoughts and prayers at this time of your great loss.

I was so saddened to hear of Mr. Gaddy's passing. In case you don't remember me, I used to work at Pace Industries/LPAG (Jeff, I miss your smiling face!). I worked there from 1990-1993 and then from 1996-2003. I started as the receptionist and then moved into marketing, working under Toni Foster, Scott Bull, and most recently, as John McCutheon's assistant. I still keep in close contact with lots of folks there.
I will remember Mr. Gaddy as a brilliant man, exceptional business leader, and most importantly, as a kind and decent person. He led by example and assisted/enabled the development of the careers of many successful men and women. I learned a lot from him myself.
Please accept my sincere condolences and know that I will be praying for you and your families during this most difficult time.

Linda & Family, We would like to express our sympathy at your loss of Bob. We both went to Carthage High School with Bob. Jack graduated in 1957 and Carolyn (Perry) with Bob in 1958. Bob was a "nice guy" and will be missed. We were looking forward to seeing him at the reunion.
Bob was always one of my favorite friends and the CPA I always had in mind when measuring the professional abilities and creativity of financial, accounting and tax professionals. He was one in a million and memories of our shared times and experiences will freshen my days forever. Learning of his death was a real shock. He will be widely missed and long remembered. I am so sorry. I am at A loss for words. SORRY
I will always remember that family was important to Bob - because of the way he interacted with others at family reunions, the way he cared for his mother when she lived across the street from us when I was growing up and later on in her life, the way he sponsored our family reunions for many years (and always attended) and the way he let us know he was willing to help family members if the need should ever arise. I can personally attest to most of what is in his obituary and believe it's all true even though it sounds "too good" for any one person to have accomplished all that is mentioned. Bob's presence and influence will be sorely missed. I'm thankful to have been able to claim him as my cousin. Sorry I couldn't make it to the funeral.
