Bobbie Lorene Davis' Obituary
Bobbie L. Davis, 84, of the Whitehouse Community, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, July 11, 2023. She was born January 1, 1939, at her family home in the Whitehouse Community to parents Dale and Velma (Stout) Lewis.
She was a remarkably strong woman spending much of her time dedicated to her family. Bobbie worked as a skilled beautician for over 30 years. She was a longtime member of Sulphur City Baptist Church, and helped disciple her family. She was known lovingly as Meema to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She made the best cheesy potatoes.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Leonard Davis; two daughters, Zondra Davis and Tracy Rinker; one granddaughter, Hollie Lazenby; one great-grandson Kreed Rickels; her parents, and her sister, Betty Lindsay.
She is survived by ten grandchildren, Ashlee (Lazenby) Kimbel, Maverin (Rinker) Downum, Meagan (Rinker) Fields, Madison (Rinker) Rickels, Blaine (Goodnight) Reynolds, Amber (Goodnight) Franks, Ben Goodnight, Matthew Goodnight, Shiree Davis, and Dale Sperling; sixteen great-grandchildren, and a sister, Donna Shumate (Allen).
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 12, from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 13, at 2:00PM at Whitehouse Community Building, with burial to follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.
