I did not know Brandon for long. I began visiting Brandon in the hospital during the last few weeks of his life. He was a person who had clearly come a long way toward pursuing healing in his heart.
He was intelligent and curious, and he loved his daughter so, so much.
I could hear as he spoke that he wanted to be able to leave a legacy of healing, hope, and giving and receiving forgiveness for her and all of his loved ones.
After all that was true and after Brandon's entire journey, this obituary is such a beautiful tribute to that longing for hope and healing.
Love to the entire Russell family as you begin the long, hard process of grieving. In time, as you mourn, may God little by little bring you a story full of forgiveness, healing, and a hope that fills your days with life and light. I will keep you in my prayers.
