Brenda Jean Galloway Murphy's Obituary
Brenda Jean Galloway Murphy, 76, of Bentonville, passed away at the Circle of Life Hospice center on August 8, 2023. She was born July 16th, 1947, in Bentonville, Arkansas to the late Clois and Betty Galloway.
Brenda grew up in Southern California. She was a graduate of Fullerton High School, class of 1965. She also met her husband of 56 years, Jim Murphy, while working at the local Smith Food King grocery store.
They lived and raised their family in Anaheim, California for numerous years. She was very active in her children’s scouting and school events.
Jim and Brenda moved to Bentonville, Arkansas in 1983. They ran a successful produce market “Murphy’s Pride Produce” for almost 20 years. They retired to Bella Vista, Arkansas and enjoyed road trips in their Corvettes, cruises, golfing and hanging out at their lake house.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents Clois and Betty Galloway. Brenda is survived by her husband Jim Murphy of Bentonville, sister Cyndy (Bill) Norris of Anaheim, California, her daughter Laura (Jeff) Justiss of Nixa, Missouri, son Jim Murphy (Kim) of Pea Ridge. Grandchildren; Maddison, Jeffrey, Bradley, Kennedy, Wesley, Turner and Lauryn.
There will be a graveside service at Bentonville Cemetery on Friday, August 11th at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northwest Arkansas Circle of Life Hospice Services.
