Biography
Bruce John Nicometo, 64 of Springdale died Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Springdale. He was born June 26, 1948 in Batavia, New York the son of John Nicometo and Mary Szymanski Nicometo.
He married the former Linda Mae Bredice at Lake Tahoe on July 4, 1983. He was a graduated of the U of A and Adjunct Professor of Sociology at NWACC; where, he also served as an Academic Advisor. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church and loved gardening, music and great food. He taught martial arts for several years and also served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Linda Nicometo of the home; son, Henry Daniel “Seth” Nicometo of Dallas, TX; 2 step-children, Jim and Jackie Coyle both of CA; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
A memorial service will be 10AM, Friday, September 14, 2012, at Moore’s Chapel with burial to follow in Fayetteville National Cemetery.
