Buford Lee Francis' Obituary
Buford Lee Francis, age 83, passed away Wednesday December 10, 2014 at his home in Fayetteville. He was born August 31, 1931 in Flat River, Missouri, the son of Lester and Lucille Bannister Francis. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Buford Lee Francis Jr. and Daniel Ray Francis; and a granddaughter Aliya Melodie Francis.
He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Japan during the Korean War. He was called into the music ministry in 1965 and served as music, youth and education director for 45 years. He was a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather and a great servant of God.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Rose Francis; one daughter Rose Braunns and husband Les of Johnson, Arkansas; one son Tim Francis and wife Kristin of Bentonville, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law Twyla Francis Rownak and husband Brian of Little Flock, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Friday December 12, 2014 at Moore’s Chapel. Memorial Service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Sang Avenue Baptist Church 1425 North Sang Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72703 under the direction of Moore’s Chapel
