Calvin Randall Berry's Obituary
Calvin Randal Berry, 86, passed away on December 28, 2014 at his home in Butterfield Trail Village Health Care Center. He was born on June 5, 1928 near Conway, Arkansas in a little settlement lovingly called “Berry Gap” by his family.
In 1946, he left home to enter the Air Force and served stateside in the post war reconstruction effort until the beginning of the Korean War. He was a professor of Agricultural Economics at the University of Arkansas with a specialty in milk marketing. He was a loving father, totally dedicated to his family, but in his spare time, he did enjoy hunting quail, training and breeding his bird dogs and fishing, and even a little gardening.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Miller, of Rogers and her husband, Joseph and their three children, Aaron, Amy and Allison. He is also survived by a nephew, James and his wife, Edna Grace of Little Rock, a niece, Karen Wheeler of Wood River, Illinois, a niece, Mary Melton, of Vilonia and a niece and nephew, Georgia Jackson and Darren Berry of Australia.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 3 at 1:00. He is reunited with his loving wife, Martha Berry, of 63 years, who passed October of 2013.
