Carl D. Myers' Obituary
Carl D. Myers, 68, of Fayetteville, AR passed away Sunday, February 12 at his home. Beloved husband, father and grandfather, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Sharon Barenblat Myers. He is survived by his wife, Kathie Evans-Myers; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Erin and Michael Cohen and Mariah and Kane Aldinger; and four beloved grandchildren, Isaac and Solomon Cohen, and Jonah and Eva Aldinger. He is also survived by his step children, Sarah Evans, Ellie and Devon Esry, and Jamey and Beth Evans and five step grandchildren.
Carl received his Master's degree from the University of Texas and other continuing education from the University of Arkansas. Carl had many professions in his lifetime: from creating a passive solar energy construction company to being a junior high civics teacher. He found his calling in Fayetteville, Arkansas where he started a successful rental property business. Myers Family Properties is a thriving business, now owned and operated by his children, with many loyal employees and tenants. Carl was always loved and admired in his business dealings, especially for his loyalty, compassion and generosity.
Always passionate about his beliefs, social causes and family, Carl was known for his fiery spirit, love of music, strong belief system, and fierce love and loyalty. He was known to call anyone he loved, from employee to beloved family member, “baby”, “darlin'” or “sweetheart.” He was always a generous contributor to social and political causes and donated across a wide-span of charitable organizations. He was especially an active and fervent supporter of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Democratic Party. Smart, talented, ferocious, fun, hard-working and playing, Carl Myers led a life filled with passion, love and purpose. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 16 at 11:00 at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
