Carl D. Walker's Obituary
Mr. Carl D. Walker, 74 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Friday, May 5, 2006 in Fayetteville, AR. He was born February 3, 1932 in Springdale, AR to Virgil Raymond and Alice Belle (Brewer) Walker.
He was a former insurance agent with Farmers Insurance and a scout executive with The Boy Scouts of America. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, AR, and a member of the Boy Scouts Troop # 114.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Little John Walker and his older brother Bill Walker.
He is survived by his wife; Thelma H. Walker, two sons; Craig Walker and wife B.J. of Lowell, AR; Carl Dean Walker II of Fayetteville, AR, one brother; R.C. Walker of Alma, AR, one sister; Berdena Borem of Mountainburg, AR, and one granddaughter; Bethany Walker of Lowell, AR.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 7, 2006 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, AR.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, May 8, 2006 at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville with Reverend Bryan Fink officiating. Burial will follow in McCord Cemetery in Elkins, AR.
