I didn't know he was sick until he was nearly gone. My boys usually do a good job of keeping me posted on family and friends but this one bypassed me. I am so sorry. I wish I could have talked to him again. I have many fond and funny memories of Ray. He came to the hospital with my dad to see about me giving birth to my son, David and somehow managed to see the baby before he was cleaned up. It was quite a jolt to him and I believe he lost his dinner. We used to laugh about that. I pray for God's love to comfort you.

Ray was a great guy. I knew him in high school at Pangburn. I last saw him in 1964, when my wife (then fiancee) and I were in New York. We visited Ray at the Army base on Staten Island.

I'm happy for the successful life he led, but I mourn his passing too young. Sincere condolonces to all his family and friends.

Ray was a wonderful boy growing up. He was one of the friendliest people I have ever known. He always went out of his way to seek out an old friend who might be visiting in Pangburn. His family contributed to the safe loving environment we enjoyed growing up in Pangburn. Ray will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

I met Ray on my first day of employment at the US House of Representatives in June 1984. He was warm and friendly from the outset.

I feel this loss greatly as we were to have dinner in Chesapeake Beach, MD the evening preceeding his death.

Let us remember that a long life may not be good enough, but a good life is always long enough!

Ray was a very good friend of ours. We enjoyed being with Freda and Ray so much. We also enjoy being joint grandparents to Boyd and Karen's children. Ray was a joy and a blessing to all who knew him. We will miss him very much.
