Carle was born on February, 26, 1932 in Liberty Grove, MD. to George Woodrow and Annabel Liddell. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1951. He married Blanche M. Rader, his high school sweetheart in May 31,1952. He served 2 years in the Army as a CPL (ER-4) USAR, 1952-54. He was assigned as a Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Mechanic. The couple relocated to Baltimore, MD. where Carle began working for Glen L. Martin Aircraft Co. for 5 ½ years. After returning to Arkansas, Carle worked 39 years as a service man at Arkansas Western Gas Co (Currently Blackhills Corp). He always took great pride in his work and how quickly and efficiently he could get a job done. That endearingly got him the name, “Bullet” from his co-workers.
Carle enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, woodworking and being with his family. In his later years he enjoyed sitting outside in his golf cart, in his neighbor’s front yard, with the company of his sitting buddies; Don Roberts, Mike Howard, Scott Liddell and several others that would stop by to visit. They called themselves the MENSA club. He also enjoyed his yearly mini vacation trips with his daughters and their husbands. He overcame many physical and health challenges and was able to live at home until his death due to the help of his daughters. A special thanks to his nephew, Scott, who lived next door, checking on him often and was a big help to him.
