Carles Kathryn Nixon's Obituary
Carles Kathryn Nixon, 79, of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, June 24, 2006 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born January 18, 1927 in Baldwin, Arkansas the daughter of Urbit and Pansy Brooks Patrick. She worked for Swanson?s (Campbell Soup) for eleven years prior to retiring after working for the Washington Regional Medical Center for thirty-seven years. She enjoyed her family, traveling, gardening and took great pride in her many varieties flowers such as her Violets, Iris and Roses.
She is survived by her husband Jim Mac (JM) Nixon (married July 5, 1946) of the home, Son and daughter-in-law; Larry R. and Crissa Nixon of Baldwin, Arkansas, brother and sister-in-law; Carl Kenneth and Jenny Patrick of Baldwin, Arkansas, one granddaughter; Jennifer Nixon Thurman of Fayetteville, Arkansas, three great grandchildren; Trevor, Jacob and Joshua Thurman.
She is preceded in death by one son Charles C. (Buzz) Nixon whom passed on June 23, 2005 in Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Baggett officiating. Burial will follow in Hester Cemetery near Baldwin. Pallbearers will be Jim Wright, Bob Jarnagan, Jimmy Sexton, Bill Beavers, Leon Drain and Bradley Rice.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM Monday, June 26, 2006 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, with the family-receiving friends from 6:00 PM till 7:00 PM.
