Carol was our neighbor and dear friend. I well remember the good times and laughter we shared. I feel fortunate to have a piece of Carol’s stained- glass artwork hanging in front of my window that overlooks my patio and courtyard. Seeing this every day reminds me of our friendship and the wonderful years we shared.

Precious Carol was a wonderful person. We all had a lot of fun when her husband Del played the piano for our Ragtime Banjo Band. Carol was extremely smart and creative and a very good woman. May your have a beautiful eternity, dear Carol.
Dr. Allie will always be Dr. Allie to me. Funny years later when I was working on her flower beds I still called her Dr. Allie. She was the Executive Vice Chancellor, that position was created for her by Dan Ferritor. I was her first secretary in that position. She was so kind and fair to everyone, and very dedicated. When I first started she was in charge of admissions, financial aid and institutional research. Lenthon Clark was Director of financial aid and when he first met me in her office he said "Aren't you afraid of her?" ha ha. I guess she had a reputation for being tough as most women in those positions hear that, whether true of not. So happy she found the love her life, later in life.

Carol Hartley Allie was and always will be a key figure in my life due to her generosity, kind heart and commitment to continuing education.
Her passion for learning and pursuit of knowledge played a big part in my success, and for that I will always be grateful and cherish forever.
After receiving a doctorate in Higher Education, Aunt Carol went on to work at the University of Arkansas in 1976. Thanks to her, I am a graduate of the University of Arkansas. Thinking back of our times together, Aunt Carol played a big part in my life during my time at the University. Aunt Carol offered me a place to stay during my first semester. After moving to live on campus, Aunt Carol never failed to support and encourage me. I would visit her every Sunday to spend time together, enjoy a sporting event on television and a nice home cooked meal.
It is my hope that I have passed on the support and encouragement to others that she gave to me.
You will never be forgotten.
You will always be in our hearts and prayers.
