Carole Ann Butter's Obituary
Carole Ann Butter, 86, lived a life of faith, love, and service. She was born on December
30,1938 and finished this life on January 16, 2025. Growing up in the small, former oil boom
town of Humble, Texas, Carole married Bob Butter soon after high school graduation. Together
they created welcoming and happy homes in Germany, four cities in south Louisiana, Odessa,
Texas and retired in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Carole was blessed with many varied gifts including being an award winning seamstress,
beautiful soloist, talented china painter, and quilter. Her most challenging accomplishment was
starting college at the age of 50. She chose the fitting field of care and service to become a
registered nurse.
Carol’s most treasured names were Mama, Grandmother and Butter “C”. She cared for her 3
children through each season of life with wisdom, grace and unconditional love. She
intentionally loved her 9 grandchildren who are scattered coast to coast. Each one has known
that they are deeply loved and prayed over their whole lives. The birth of each of her 15 great-
grandchildren filled her heart with joy and praise.
Carole leaves a legacy of cherished memories and a family deeply grateful for her example. Her
life has brought glory to our heavenly Father and a blessing to those she loved and served.
She will be missed by her husband of 67 years, children Jeff (Deborah), Ruth (Herbie) and
Edith, 9 beloved grandchildren, and 15 treasured great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on January 22, 2025 at 10:00am and the Funeral Service at 11:00am at First
Baptist Church Fayetteville, Arkansas. Committal Service will follow at Fayetteville National
Cemetery at 12:30pm.
