Carole Diane Reando's Obituary
Carole Diane Reando, 88, of Rogers, Arkansas and formerly of Anaheim, California passed away on May 1st, 2024. Diane was born May 20th, 1935 in Starkweather, North Dakota, the only child of Sam & Esther Loehr. Esther passed away within a month of the birth and so Diane went to live with her uncle and aunt, Elmer and Thelma Loehr, and their three boys. Sam & Elmer were brothers, and Esther & Thelma had been sisters, so Diane grew up considering her cousins as her brothers.
After high school Diane worked as a bank teller before moving to Minot, ND to attend college. There she met and married her first husband John Richard Dreyer on June 6th 1957. The couple settled in Cando, ND where Diane gave birth in 1958 to two sons Jon & Scott. The young family resided in several places in the Dakotas before settling in Miles City, MT. There John died August 19th 1966 after a brief illness. Diane and the boys then moved to Devils Lake, ND to be closer to her parents and family.
In the summer of 1969 Diane met widower Robert Marvin Reando of Anaheim, CA. After a brief long-distance romance the couple married on September 13th 1969 in Las Vegas, NV. Robert and his two children Mary and Peter welcomed Diane and her boys into their Anaheim home on Lola Ave. Diane lived in that home for 51 years being mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her combined family. After Robert retired, he and Diane spent summers on the family farm in Starkweather. Robert passed away January 23rd, 2012 leaving Diane a widow a second time. In February of 2021 Diane was moved to Grand Brook Memory Care of Rogers.
At the time of her death Diane was survived by a son, Jon Dreyer (and his wife Kim) of Bentonville, AR. A son, Scott Dreyer (and his wife Jeanette) of Tustin. CA. A step-daughter Mary Reando of Toronto, Canada. A step-son Peter Reando (and his wife Melinda) of Gig Harbor, WA. Grandchildren, Cassandra Moore of Springdale, AR, Jessica Carter (and husband Richard) of Rogers, AR, Paul Dreyer of Gentry, AR, Emma Jones (and her husband Lewis) of Riverside, CA, Zachery Reando of Gig Harbor, WA. Five Great-grandchildren, Natasha and Anya Carter, and Arturo, Payton and Phoenix Jones.
