Carolene Sue Johnson's Obituary
Carolene Sue Johnson, age 85, of Springdale, AR, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born August 12, 1939, in Wichita, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ottis Woodrow Pine, Carrie Belle Henthorne Pine, her husband, David L. Johnson, children Carrie and Terry Johnson and siblings Evelina Boothe, Ottis “Woody” Pine, Jr, Mitchell Pine and Michael Pine.
Sue, as we all knew her, was a caring wife, mother and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her. She enjoyed making ceramic items, spending time with her grandchildren coloring, playing games and working on puzzels with them but, her real passion was her love of crochet.
Sue is survived in life by her daughters, Tammy Melton (Tim), Denice Chudej (Paul); a sister, Catherine Ensley (Charlie) and sister in law, Carlan Pine (“Woody”). She is also survived by four grandchildren, Amanda Miller (Ryan), Lindsy Cox (Zack), Joshua Chudej, Acacia Reynolds (Nick); and seven great-grandchildren, Brittany Miller, Desiree Miller, Sara Miller, Caroline Cox, Kendall Cox, Parker Reynolds and Riley Reynolds.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 18, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale.
