Cecil T. Clevenger's Obituary
Cecil T. Clevenger, 89, of Fayetteville died July 2, 2011, in Fayetteville, AR. He was born February 17, 1922, in Fayetteville to Clifford and Katie Thurman Clevenger.
He served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a painter. Cecil was an avid sportsman especially with his beagle dogs.
He was preceded in death by one son, Larry (Bubba) Clevenger; three sisters: Pearl Tannihill, Lois Kimbell, and Betty Clevenger; three brothers Jack Clevenger, Bill Clevenger, Clifford Clevenger Jr., two great granddaughters, Lacy Elkins and Sarah Elizabeth Longwith.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Stewart Clevenger of the home; three daughters: Sue Ann Wilson and Ron Rapp of Gulfport, FL; Helen Elkins and husband Gary of Fayetteville, AR; Anita Greenlee of Fayetteville, AR; two sons, Danny Clevenger and his wife Kathy of Farmington, AR; David Clevenger and his wife Debbie of Farmington, AR one brother: Charles Clevenger and his wife Ellen of Fayetteville, AR; two sisters: Joy May and husband Jimmy of Avoca, Patsy Harvey and her husband Ken of Fayetteville, AR; sister in law, Mary Clevenger of Fayetteville, AR; fourteen grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6th at Farmington Baptist Church in Farmington with burial at Farmington Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
