I was deeply saddened to hear of Chad’s passing.
I had the privilege of knowing Chad for more than 20 years, going back to our time together at Tyson Fresh Meats in South Dakota. Throughout those years, Chad was always kind, professional, and willing to help. He had a calm and genuine way of treating everyone with respect, which left a lasting impression on all who had the opportunity to work with him.
Chad will be truly missed.
Chad will live forever in our hearts and memories.
Sharing time with him was truly a joy. Anyone who knew him well can attest to his sharp sense of humor and his ability to turn ordinary moments into unforgettable memories. Whether it was a late night filled with drinks, laughter, and great music (though we would forever debate some of his song choices), or a concert adventure, Chad always made every occasion special. Even the concerts he was hesitant to attend because the expensive tickets had already been purchased, or the shows that were canceled minutes before they began due to bad weather, somehow became lasting memories simply because we were together.
The many great moments I shared with Chad taught me an important lesson: make time for the people you love and cherish every moment as if it could be the last. Don't wait for the perfect occasion—just be present and enjoy the time you have together.
I was also fortunate to witness Chad one time at work, it impressed me how he always carried a positive attitude, genuinely cared about his team, and was exceptionally knowledgeable while remaining open to others' ideas and perspectives. Despite having countless major projects and responsibilities, he was the one person who immediately stepped in to help me when no one else I had counted on did. To me, that was a true testament to his friendship and character.
Life rarely gives us people we can depend on without hesitation. Often times, we are disappointed by those we expect to be there. Chad was different. He created those rare moments of loyalty, kindness, and support for many people. The impact he made in the lives of others is something few accomplish in a lifetime.
I will always be grateful for his friendship and for the memories we shared.
