Charles Robert Britton, long time resident of Fayetteville Arkansas, passed away in his home on Friday, December 8, 2023. He was born to Robert Atwell Britton and Louise Small Britton in Winfield Kansas. The family moved to Hays, Read Obituary

Dr. Britton was my favorite teacher I've ever had. His thought process and approach to economics really shaped the way I view people and the world. He was a great thinker and a great teacher. Very easy to approach, kind and helpful. I am sad to hear of his passing. I know you all loved him a lot.
My experience in Dr. Britton's class remains as one of my most challenging and enjoyable. My sympathies to his family and all of his friends -- with a bit of envy-- for knowing well this unique person.
I had Dr. Britton for two classes back in the early 80s. I had wondered from time to time if he was still teaching. It heartens me to see that he lived a long and apparently very full life.
Being more mature now, I wish I had taken every class he taught or that I could get him to teach. What a fabulous personality, and instructor. I recall him explaining opportunity cost by examining the balance of using funds to buy beers or video games on Dickson Street.

Dr Britton was the greatest university professor in my life. I've never forgotten TANSTAAFL, and have taught it to many including my family. I was blessed in later years to have been invited to speak in his classes, including when my sons were at the university. Thanks for everything Chuck....rest in peace friend.....you made a positive influence on many. My class was in 1976.....he still had my grade in his files, an 'A' which I was so proud of. Dismal Science was what they called their softball team.......it was brilliant. So glad our paths crossed for so many years. Chuck Dudley
