Charles "Chet" Chetwood Anderson's Obituary
Charles Chetwood "Chet" Anderson passed away at Circle of Life in Springdale, AR, on December 2, 2025. He was born on January 10, 1958, in Warren, AR, to Max Zane Anderson, Jr. and Thelma Jane Lubbes Anderson.
Chet was preceded in death by his parents of Warren, AR; brother, David Anderson, of Columbus, MS.
He is survived by one daughter, Rachel Loraine Anderson (Josh Sheer); grandsons, Maximillan “Max” and Wolfgang of Wichita, KS; sister, Joanna Anderson Hudson (Richard), of Fayetteville, AR, and a brother, Max Zane Anderson III (Christy) of Maumelle, AR; four nephews, two nieces, five great-nephews, four great-nieces, and 1 great-great niece.
Chet’s primary occupation was that of radio announcer/producer, and he worked for a variety of stations in Pine Bluff, Fort Smith and Fayetteville.
He had an amazing creative mind and remembered details far beyond the ability of most of us. One example regarded automobiles. He could tell you not only the year and make, but more information than you expected. Chet was very knowledgeable and interested in science and history, and he enjoyed watching documentaries on both. He had a creative mind which included drawing, painting, and finding random objects and making something new from them. He enjoyed working on computers, singing, playing the guitar, and riding motorcycles. Chet never ceased entertaining us at family gatherings with his detailed stories on just about any subject. He is missed.
The family wishes to thank Circle of Life in Springdale, Arkansas, for its exceptional care. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Burial will be held at a later date in Oakland Cemetery, Monticello, Arkansas.
