Charles 'Gene' Shockley's Obituary
Charles “Gene” Shockley, 70 of Stark City, MO died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in Bentonville. He was born April 20, 1944 the son of Herbert Shockley and Virginia Oxford Shockley in Fayetteville and was raised in Hickory Creek Community.
He was a 1962 graduate of Springdale High School and married the former Beverly Wilson on March 16, 1966. He attended the House of Worship and served in the Army National Guard. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years Beverly Shockley of the home; sons, Eddie Shockley and his wife, Nicole of Springdale, John Shockley and his wife, Paula of Fayetteville; daughter, Kristie Johnson and her husband, Mike of Springdale; 5 grandchildren, Aron Johnson, Martie Shockley, Cole Shockley, Hayden Shockley, Emma Claire Shockley, and 1 great-granddaughter, Harley Johnson.
3 step-grandchildren, Gared Holt, Hunter Holt, Blake Mason.
The family will receive friends from 5 PM to 7 PM on Thursday at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, October 24, 2014 at Revival Tabernacle Church in Springdale with Pastor Paul Eden and Pastor Bill Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Creek Cemetery.
