Charles Edwin Murphree's Obituary
Charles Edwin Murphree, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 31, 2022, at his home in West Fork, Arkansas. He was born on December 10, 1944, in Manila, Arkansas, to Ocie Murphree and Lura Bell (Holman) Murphree. Charles graduated from Monterrey High School in Lubbock, Texas. He married Saundra Kay Connelly on July 24, 1965, in Bethany, Oklahoma. Charles was the manager of the General Motors Training Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of Fayetteville First Church of the Nazarene and Gideon’s International.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Bobby Wayne Murphree.
He is survived by his wife, Saundra Kay Murphree; two sons, Charles Connelly Murphree and wife Lee Saundra of West Fork, and Robert Wayne Murphree and wife Jennifer of New Prague, Minnesota, six grandchildren, Sean, Adelvice, Elias, Ryan, Riley, and Rosie; and sister, Anna Ruth Murphree of Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Fayetteville First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Larry Woodward and Pastor Gerald James officiating. Burial will follow at Baptist Ford Cemetery in Greenland, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Fayetteville First Church of the Nazarene. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International.
