Charles Thomas Reed Sr.'s Obituary
Charles Thomas Reed, Sr., age 80, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, February 29, 2020. He was born April 23, 1939 in Independence, Kansas, the son of Alonzo and Martha Bockleman Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson Seth Reed and two brothers Roy and Carl Harp.
He was employed in office equipment sales and repair and a member of First Baptist Church of Wedington Woods.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Dorene Reed; two daughters Kathy Summers and fiancé Steven Schmidt of Springdale and Charlene Thompson and husband Shawn of Lowell; a son Charles Reed, Jr. and his wife April of Fayetteville; a sister-in-law Dean Harp of Fayetteville; thirteen grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday at Moore’s Chapel followed by burial at Mount Comfort Cemetery.
