Charles David Woolley's Obituary
Charles David Woolley, age 91, of Fayetteville, AR, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025. He was born December 22, 1933, in Van Buren, AR, a son of the late Glenn Woolley and Julia Bowlin Woolley. He was also preceded in death by his spouse, Shirley Sams Woolley.
Charles was a member of Sequoyah United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, a retired Real Estate Broker who logged many hours in retirement volunteering in his community. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, honesty and sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Charles served in the United States Air Force from December 1953 to August 1962 as Airman First Class and later as Staff Sergeant Administration Specialist for classified materials. He received medals for National Defense Service and Good Conduct as well and other honors and commendations throughout his military career. Charles was a Korean War Veteran.
Survivors are his daughters, Cindy Gray, Karen Cook and husband David Cook; his grandchildren, Alexander Gray, Shelby Finch and husband Aaron Finch, Kyle Cook and wife Melani Cook; and great-grandsons, Brayden, Rowan, Beau, and Knox.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5, Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m. also at Nelson Berna. Urn placement with military honors will follow at 12:30 p.m. Fayetteville National Cemetery.
