Chester Stevens' Obituary
Chester P. Stevens, 76, of Farmington, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born March 29, 1927 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Charlie Jackson and Eva Wilburn Stevens. He was a Veteran of the United States Military, was a retired automobile mechanic, he loved to play golf and was a member of the Farmington Baptist Church in Farmington Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife; Lorene Stevens of Farmington, Arkansas, two daughters and sons-in-law, Reba Dell and Dean Lee of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jean Anna and Wayne Sellers of Bunker Hill, Kansas, two sons and daughters-in-law; Wendell and Pat Stevens of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Wesley and Lisa Stevens of Farmington, Arkansas, three sisters; Mary Lou Bazzett and Peggy Fulkerson both of Michigan, Betty Kerr of Arizona, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by; one son, Wayne Michael Stevens, two grandchildren, Judd and Bradley Stevens and one sister, Selma Stevens.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, March 26, 2004 at the Farmington Baptist Church in Farmington, Arkansas with Rev. Preston Beeks officiating. Burial will follow in Farmington Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Clevenger, David Finical, Keith Benish, Lanny Samples, Dewayne Johnson and Billy Cochran.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM till 9:00 PM Thursday, March 25, 2004 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with the family-receiving friends from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM.
