Chloe Elizabeth Smith's Obituary
Chloe Elizabeth Smith, of Springdale, Arkansas, was born sleeping on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville. She weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces, was 18 inches long, and had the most adorable cheeks and nose — features that will be cherished forever. Chloe is the precious daughter of Jeff and Melissa Smith, who are forever honored and blessed to be her parents, carrying with them the deep, unbreakable bond that only a child can bring.
Sweet angel Chloe leaves behind her loving parents; paternal grandparents Derrill and Lydia Smith of El Dorado, Arkansas; maternal grandparents Scott and Susan Daley of Solon, Ohio; Uncle Scott and Ashley Smith of El Dorado, Arkansas; Aunt Jennifer and Eric Johannisson of Reminderville, Ohio; maternal great-grandmothers Elizabeth Croes of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, and Joyce Daley of Melbourne, Florida; many cousins, great aunts, and great uncles.
She was welcomed into Heaven by great-grandparents Maurice Little, Mary Ann (Little) and Henry Donohoe, Venetia and Jesse Smith, Rinald Croes, and Leonard R. Daley; and several great aunts and uncles.
From the moment we learned of Chloe’s arrival, we felt an overwhelming love for her and cherished every kick, movement and hiccup. She seemed perfectly content to stay (mostly) in one spot, already showing us her calm and peaceful nature. She loved being active when Mommy was trying to sleep and enjoyed playing little games of hide-and-seek with Daddy, as if she knew she was special from the start.
We greatly appreciate the loving care provided by Parkhill Clinic for Women throughout the pregnancy, as well as the amazing, tender support from the Washington Regional Labor and Delivery team during our heartbreaking loss – with profuse thanks to our two primary nurses, Jami and Christina. Though Chloe took the express elevator to Heaven, she has left an eternal imprint on our hearts, and we are forever changed by her short, but meaningful presence in our lives.
The family will have a private ceremony at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chloe’s honor via a GoFundMe that will be used to support families experiencing similar losses, helping them heal and find peace.
