Christopher Wayne Skinner's Obituary
Christopher Wayne Skinner, 51, passed away on June 11, 2026, in Bentonville. He was born on February 3, 1975, to Sharon (Smith) Cheatham, in Modesto, California.
Chris always pushed people to be their best selves and supported them through careful teaching, direction, and sometimes tough-love. He was relentless in his love for his family and the hardest worker you will ever meet. He formed tight, long-lasting friendships over the years and will be missed beyond measure by all that knew him well. Chris told the boys everyday “Do Good, Be Good” and it’s advice he lived his life by.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Neata Smith; and step-brother, Matthew Cheatham.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Nikki and their two sons, Leighton and Logan. He is also survived by his mother, Sharon Cheatham and her husband, Randy; sister, Cristi Skinner; and nieces and nephews, Katlynn, Nathan, Aiden and Emma.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 11 until 12pm, followed by military honors and then the Celebration of Life, all at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, Rogers.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org.
